How to Self-Care During your Saturn Return

Saturn Return serves as a time of self-discovery and self-reflection. It is the time that allows us to align to our purpose and truth.

All of this can be overwhelming, so it is important to take the time to self care during your Saturn Return. Here is a list of advice to help you feel more at ease during this life event:

Listen to your own intuition. Saturn Return is all about finding your destiny within yourself. Ignoring your intuition will be counterintuitive. Listen to this podcast about how to connect with your intuition.

Try to focus on the big picture. Your Saturn Return can feel like a crisis. It is going to be important to not dwell on the small things. Allow yourself to enjoy the journey and learn how to view change as a positive experience.

Find your flow state. Explore what creates the highest level of fulfillment by following what lights you up. If you don’t know where to start, pick any activity and go from there. What is something you’ve always wanted to try? What can you get lost doing?

Comparison is the thief of joy. Comparing yourself to others isn’t a great habit. Doing this during your Saturn Return can cause more stress than normal. Everyone’s Saturn Return is going to look different, so it is not fair to yourself to be comparing your journey to anyone else's. You are exactly where you are meant to be.

It is going to be important to slow down and trust the process. You might be stressed during your Saturn Return, and this is ok. Pay attention to the signs. What should you pay attention to? What lessons are you supposed to learn during this time?

Your Saturn Return’s purpose is to guide you down the path that is going to fulfill you. You are going to have to try new things. Be kind to yourself as you explore. As long as you work hard and put your best effort forward, something positive will come as a result.

Look at your moon sign. Your moon sign reflects your emotions, intuition and memories.

  • If your moon sign is an earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), create a plan of action, make lists or spend time outside.

  • If your moon sign is a fire sign (Leo, Sagittarius, Aries), move your body, engage in a creative activity or start a new project.

  • If your moon sign is a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), spend time in the water, engage in a spiritual practice or let out a good cry/yell.

  • If your moon sign is an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), spend time daydreaming or chatting with a friend.

When in doubt, spend time outside to ground yourself. Check out this link to learn more about astrology and self-care.

Going through your Saturn Return is not going to be easy, but I hope these tips can give you a little bit of ease.
